Amar Srivastava, is the Founder and President of Indian Road Safety Campaign, Solve an organization started during his second year at IIT, after 6 of his friends met with a road accident and 3 of them lost their lives at the spot. He started with a vision to change the scenario of road-safety in India and make sure that no more lives are lost due to road-accident by 2025. He currently serves on the road safety (education) core group of Niti Aayog, the Road Safety Committee of Safer Roads for Gurugram and the Safety Council of OLA. He is a graduate from IIT Delhi and post graduate in Social Impact Strategy from University of Pennsylvania. While leading Solve, he has been leading the efforts and designing policies and considerations for the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, United Nations, WHO and various other corporates, institutions and organizations. He leads a total of 40,000+ volunteers at the moment across 50+ cities in India with a vision to involve each and every youth across India to promote a participatory approach to problem solving!
Key member in organizing the National Annual Safe Road Half Marathon'18 on 18th March in Collaboration with Government of India and Delhi Traffic Police. Managed 300+ volunteers, handled Logistics for the event, Promoted the event across Delhi 3000+ runners participated.
Directing a technical Project, 'Ambivan' aims to provide fast and reliable ambulance service through a wide network of hospitals and ambulance providers brought under one roof. The alarming number of deaths of accident victims due to unavailability of ambulance during the Golden Hour gave rise to this social innovation project. Ambivan will provide variety of services through app and web based platforms which include Auto Detection, booking of ambulances, real time monitoring of bed availability in hospitals, patient tracking, simplified payment procedures, help desks and information centre.
